sekler craftsman, folk weaver from Vărșag
"She was born in Vărșag at the 15th November, 1936. She weaves and looms since early childhood – she learned them form her mother. She is still working in her home in Vărșag, embroidery is a recreational activity for her, but in her case the word: Spinning-rell, rock and windle, should have gone to hell! – has no value.
She is a member of the Seklerland Craftsmen Association and of the Hungarian Craftsmen Association from Romania since 2003. At 21st November 2004 she was given the certificate of master craftsmen from the national association. She is founding member of the Seklerland Craftsmen Association.
She is attending national and international fairs organized by the professional groups, where she is presenting the weaving and looming craftmanship to the interested. She maintains contact with the women who weave in her native village, she is being asked for opinion frequently, she is asking other for their opinion, by using her words: teach through learning."
